Friday I got the call from a friend that one of her oldest friends had died; she was afraid of her emotional swing, so I hopped in the car and headed north to spend some time with her. She was dog sitting for the night in a lovely remote home with fireplace and plenty of dry wood. The dogs were polite and didn't "need" us too much, so we could talk it out and have a lovely visit besides. In the morning we took a long walk with these dogs before work. Sorry back end view of them both, but that's better than the other image of Raffy squatting.hmph.
Winter wonders..how the water finds runs and then freezes on the vine.
Thank heavens for the wonders of early tulips to bring color to our winter days.
On the way back to town, we passed this collapsed structure..a bit like the economy...oh my.
Well, I said I'd brief. My computer has been giving me grief, just blacking out when least expected, so I don't want to push my luck any longer. Hope you have all passed a weekend with ease and recovery and can forge into this next week's work and wonder with vitality.

Thanks for the good wishes and thanks for the photos...tulips so beautiful and then the snowy landscape. Studio day today!!
Mary Ann, always good to find your words. Yes, studio today, but I turned it into a silk painting place because that's where the need lies. The painting didn't look nearly so red, white and blue when I saw it sitting on my easel. Images can be deceiving.
