Mysterious Flight and other Fancies

A week has passed again.  I was preoccupied with much of it as I was serving on jury duty for 3 long days.  Exhausting work listening, not able to talk about what you were hearing and the stories got deeper and sadness was felt for all the parties...so lost in their games.  But I must move on from this place.  We as a team of 12 worked well together and each could speak and be heard and our decision was given at 9pm on Thurs which meant we had Friday to catch up a week's worth of duties.  Ha!

Yesterday was Studio Place Arts reception of the Holiday members show.  I had my studio open and received visitors the whole time...many questions, opinions, and personal favorites chosen.  Mysterious Flight posted above was selected by a very interested buyer, but perhaps my price was out of her reach; yet maybe not...she needed to think on it.  This painting is a new one and featured in the review of my show in January, so I am in no hurry to let it move along into its own mysterious flight.  24x24
This painting is drying and getting ready to hang in another show in December.  It was claiming eyes yesterday and is trying on the name Seasonal Changes.  smaller 16x20 I think.
And look I am weaving again.  I wound on this warp on Friday and wove the first scarf.  Frog Hollow has asked for more and I had so few to send them that I had to get to weaving.  I also need to make new tags and I think this image might be the background for the project.  More than a fancy, but I could resist the connection.

I thought I had one more week before Thanksgiving, but alas it is almost here and my guest list is slim.  Makes it simple and leftovers will carry us a while.  Yes!  Actually I've been calling group meals "Thanksgiving" for the last couple of months, feeling thanks for the food, family, and togetherness.
Wishing you all thanks for giving your time and thought for this reading, wishing you abundance and cheer, family and inspiration.  Happy Thanksgiving!
