Reflections

Lake waters held my gaze--soothing and exciting.  Reflections on the water, in the water, reflections about the water, reflections about movement and the dance of the reflections.
Water holds the light and the light dances.
Reflections.  Can you get the picture?
Reflections become op art.
Will these reflections keep reflecting and where?
This too is a reflection.  On Monday we took a 2 hour trip on the lake on the mail boat, the only floating Post Office.  We stopped at several islands, Bear Island being one of them.  The islanders came out to greet us, boarding to buy ice cream bars.  As we were pulling out, several girls and guys mounted the piers to wave us off, jumping into the water  when we were out of the way.  It seemed a reflection of time past, something passed on from the parents to the children.  I was glad to be there.

Beautiful reflections. Interesting to read of such simple lake summers...mail boat, ice cream, and swimming...it all seems from another time but in this case still very much a way of life. Thanks for the view!

Hi Annie, reflections on reflections. Thanks for coming by.

Hi Mary Ann, Yes, that simplicity did seem to be from another era. Lovely to behold. The captain of the boat was full of stories and enough wind on the water to make the 90 degree day feel just right.

I also like the reflection images; they move and shine with light.
