Nature's Dance

Nature's Dance
Originally uploaded by colormuse

So cool today and even rain. Silks weren't drying so I did a steaming, wash out, and then went off to the studio. This drawing needed some more work and I'm pleased with what I did on it.  Oil pastel and oil paint on gessoed paper, 22x30

The flowers on my back deck are glowing these days.  Just a couple of plants have really blossomed out.  My blue and orange is showing again.

This drawing I did yesterday working on yupo with oil pastel, not so large, maybe 12x9.

Second day on the oil painting, 20x20.  More layers to go, but the forms are making a presence.

Just watched "So You Think You Can Dance".  Such incredible dancers, choreographers, costumes...a feast, a watching pleasure.  Inspiration comes in all forms.

Thanks you Mary Ann for your comment on 20x20. When it is strong at early stage, I always wonder about the procedure of finishing.
