After a day at the gallery and dinner, I took a friend over to the studio. The big drawing on the wall needed an audience before I rolled it up tomorrow so I could expand and stretch another paper for more release. He was so happy to see it "in the flesh", as it looks so different large than as an image. This small one was hardly noticed in comparison, but it too is about marks upon the wall. What am I saying?
Fort Can is a printing studio...wonderful boxes of old type....riches! Kelly's apprentice was hard at work.

Three wonderful images, both the made and the found.
I agree, one made and two found...images of beauty, color and texture!
Thanks Altoon and Mary Ann...glad you enjoyed. Hope your day brings you many treasures!
If there is one thing I love more than textures--- it is mark making--either by artists or created by nature on walls. as to typeset letters-- I lucked out as my husband is a manager of Sears-- and there is an old large store in Seattle where they used to have their Northwest headquarters and used to print their own ads-- and several years ago he paid $100 for ALL their wooden and metal typeset letters-- different sizes and styles and they ended up in my studio.
Ah, Donna, wooden and metal letters of all sizes...what a find!
