A time of year for hearts and love, a time for showing that you care. At the midpoint between the shortest day and the spring equinox, we mark on the calendar "Valentines Day".

My kitty Echo pulls at my heart strings, the beauty urging me to capture the form. I even made sketches, but they aren't loaded on this computer. I need more practice too.
Love his paws, makes me pause.
Such a sweet sleeper in his favorite spot on our bed. He finds some of the best favorite spots for sleep.
Ah, the call for red at this time of year. The red heart, the blood pounding. we are still alive after the cold winter winds, the dark days lighten. We breathe hoping for the scent of spring in the air; alas, perhaps still too cold, but the dream of spring has come alive again. Our hearts swell and we love those who help us feel more alive. I also like this flower shaped heart. In Japan, we call it "taitsurisou"...means "plant fishing sea bream". I want to put eyes on it.
