Nature's Dance
Nature's Dance

So cool today and even rain. Silks weren't drying so I did a steaming, wash out, and then went off to the studio. This drawing needed some more work and I'm pleased with what I did on it. Oil pastel and oil paint on gessoed paper, 22x30
The flowers on my back deck are glowing these days. Just a couple of plants have really blossomed out. My blue and orange is showing again.
This drawing I did yesterday working on yupo with oil pastel, not so large, maybe 12x9.
Second day on the oil painting, 20x20. More layers to go, but the forms are making a presence.
Just watched "So You Think You Can Dance". Such incredible dancers, choreographers, costumes...a feast, a watching pleasure. Inspiration comes in all forms.

ps can you believe we are actually feeling the cold here in the sub-tropics...
The 20x20 piece is quite beautiful...color, shapes and a wonderful depth...strong!
Sophie! It took me some pause before I realized that message was coming from you...yes, homage to the seed. I did buy postcard blanks today. Thanks for all your kind words. yes, busy for me too.
Thanks you Mary Ann for your comment on 20x20. When it is strong at early stage, I always wonder about the procedure of finishing.
