From my photo eye to my palette knife energy

I am considering the link between that photography eye and sighting, that capture of light and form in the Vermont landscape and my ability to draw and then explore with paint and palette knife.  It is a study in texture and form, value and appeal.  How much can be stated in the evidence and and how much can be submerged in paint energy, or maybe the term is expressed in paint energy, the soul exploring its expansion...I am questing my voice ....as so many artists do.

I call this painting "View from the High Road", 9x12 on of all things, canvas board, but it does slip into a frame easily.

The brilliant day calls me out and I leave you with these thoughts and wishes for a bountiful day gifting you all with many pleasures.

I don't know how I missed this the other day. A beautiful painting Maggie.
The soul exploring its expansion .... I like that! It's the way I feel when I'm really into my art process.
