Hot, waiting for thunder storms which seem to be more in the reports than in actuality. But when I'm painting I hardly notice the heat or the lack of rain. The table top is really coming into completion and it pleases me. I think I will have to finalize it with a sturdy finish, so it really can be used hard.
This 12x12 painting I did in 2006, but only today did I paint the edges and prepare it for show. The bronze sides seem to set it off just fine. I'll be taking it to show in Stowe on Thursday at Art on Park.
Last week I went up to Hardwick for Open Studio tour and ended up at the wine and cheese party meeting Eve who invited me to exhibit at Miller's Thumb Gallery with my paintings on silk and on canvas. So exciting when she chose so many paintings for display and really seemed to like them! Gives me a vote of confidence.
So I began a new painting, 20x20, and think I might turn it in for the Stone Show at SPA.
Another gallery is asking for the warm autumn tones for scarves; it's already coming! I mixed the dyes today and let the russets spread.
We've been eating delicate squash from our garden, green beans, and blackberries. The woodchuck is eating our lettuce and radichio, but one was captured in the havaheart trap today and escorted far away. The trials of gardening only slightly dampen the joys!

Congrats on all the interest in your work, well deserved. The gray painting looks perfect for the stone show, and the table top looks great.
