Yesterday was the reception at Claire's Restaurant in Hardwick where 18 paintings on silk and canvas deck the walls in this classy place. It was a lovely fall day when we took the half hour drive north along the river running full and through the hills just considering the change in color about to happen. We got there early enough to take some photos before folks arrived. The silk above is freshly stretched and hadn't been photographed before and, wouldn't you know it, but with only one shot, I got a blurry image. Alas....
I asked Bruce to take a couple of me...Somehow I never appear in photos as I think I look. Alas, again.
Here is the large silk hanging by the front window, 44x72. I call it "Doors and Windows." and was happy to get a shot of it in full, as there is not wall big enough in my home to hang it out for viewing.
Roger the framer from next door ~ the Hang Man, I believe is the actual name of his business, saw us doing photos and he asked if he could take a couple of us together...so here we are, both in herringbone tweed.
Here is the full view of the painting we are standing in front of..."The Matter of the Heart". I love making the titles, and work at the prices to keep them reasonable, but unfortunately the price sheet with titles is not very obvious to customers....but the refreshments were complimentary and classy to suit the restaurant.
Vermont cheeses and tasty bread came out first before the tempura of garden vegetables.
Before the tables filled I could take a shot of the paintings on the walls. It was tastefully set up, not overwhelming. And dinner was delicious, full of flavors and talk with friends.
One last painting, another stretched silk with the title"Spirit" 20x19 which glows and looks so much richer in in its true self than this reproduction...yes, images are a reduction of the true self....hmmm...
last image, last thought....be well fellow art travelers....let your art guide you to greater understanding.

Jeane, thanks for the visit and your support....just was thinking I needed to get a hair cut....hmmm.
Lovely show. I love that all your paintings go perfectly with the wall color in this space. They looks so at home!
"Spirit" is lush, deep, and glimmery; what one hopes your own spirit will be.
Your paintings and silks look beautiful in that setting. What a festive (and delicious) evening. Love the introspective titles. Great picture of you!
The show looks beautiful in that space. And I just love the silks!
Congrats!
Thanks all for the visit and comments; such fun to find them this morning. My paintings are happy when they find other walls to enliven.
