The Truth is Somewhere in the Middle

The Truth is Somewhere in the Middle

This painting was born with some wild energy coursing through me. Some family members hit rough patches and I got involved which twisted me emotionally and took away some studio time. When I landed in the studio, there were other disturbances, but somehow I got the canvas on the easel and began---colors came to hand, lines became forms which began to sway and I was off to find the truth. What a miracle entering a painting can be!

Nice image. Reminded me of archeology for some reason - maybe the color or the shape.

Thanks Helen, yes, rocks are part of my art and what lies below the surface of the earth and matter.

Lovely painting Maggie! What I love about going into the studio and beginning work is that feeling when stress seems to seep away the more involved with the piece one gets. What would we do without art?!

Ah Robyn, gratefully we don't have to live without art. It bursts from us in so many ways. Yes, a stress reliever for sure. Blessings!

Sophie, always fun to have a visit from you and your words. Yes, busy time here too and I long to have a time for another post and to make some visits myself. Another "yes" on painting, yes!
