Cove

Cove
Originally uploaded by colormuse

Sitting on the rocks at this cove, my senses washed by the rhythmic sound of the waves, I did this watercolor using sea water, my mother's brushes and watercolors I had given her....thoughts of my Mama. She would have loved this cove in Maine. When I travel to visit with her in her home in AZ in a few weeks, I can take this watercolor capture of this time and place to share with her...whether she recognizes or remembers any of what I say or what she sees, we will have a sharing and she will know that. Laughter and tears. Art helps.

Wonderful to think of you using 'sea water and your mother's watercolors. I love the idea of a cove and the sounds of water on rocks...you captured it here.
Enjoy your trip to the
Southwest.

Yes art does help and this little painting is so restful. I'm sure your mom will love it.
