Progression

I lay in bed this morning thinking about this blog, wanting to post this image of "Progression" from my 2006 Evolution series which hung in the Vermont Supreme Court. It is a solid 12x12 painting which I put in SPA's holiday show for only $100, thinking it might move at that price, but alas it is still with me. Then I took the image which follows which correlates. Maybe I am not done with Progression.

Being next to Kelly's print studio is another learning experience. She has a student from Oberlin College working with her for his month break between semesters. I love seeing some of the old print types.
As far as studio work goes, I seem to be searching....I don't know what I am doing this week, no fresh sparking energy, no big paper projects and I am shy to use a large canvas. I am also debating which easel to buy and from which source, but I do want an easel!

Yesterday when I was thinking about "sign of the times" I wanted to speak about my yarn order and then I spoke of Anna and cataracts and other things and forgot my first thought. Oh, a mind is a funny thing. Sometimes all thoughts are not in progression. So, to continue....I wound a new scarf warp using what yarns I had, but broke down and made a new yarn order to spark the next warp. Though I have been trying to use up what I have purchased for the past 15 years, some new colors were needed for active creative color musing. I ordered from Silk City...fabulous quality chenille but very slow to send out the yarn in the past. But this year, as a sign of the times, they were so happy to get my rather small order that they sent it out that very day and it was sitting at my door the next morning. What does that tell us about the times?

Maggie,
It is the season for endings and beginnings--merging together. I, too, am searching for my next project, can't seem to find my way. This AM's light is sharp, insists on being recognized. An entry?

Hi Leslie, but I think perhaps their customer list consisted of few customers this mid January.

Hi Jeane, glad to hear that these last two posts were enjoyable to you...sometimes words tumble out uncontrolled, like my paint strokes. It has been an unruly week, my own earthquake added to Haiti's.

Hi Jayne, nice to hear from you. Yes, an entry will do in this box and from the paint stroke. Clear light in January.
