Puppet City and Ice

Delia's presentation of her Puppet Cities was well received yesterday at Fort Can. She moved out and I moved a few supplies over today before the snows limit my hauling. The big canvas and the table needed the truck. Excited to get working there but First Night calls us into town to witness the diverse talent of the area. we have a full dance card of events, yes, and dancing too! Celebrating the passing of 2009, the good, the bad, and the ugly of it! Hurrah for 2010!
Wishing you all a happy, healthy, and hopeful new year!
A walk by the Winooski River checking out the ice making. It has been bitterly cold, but it's movement slows the freeze over. Another way of seeing the river and its banks. Glad I had my camera in hand. Almost felt like making art to take some photos.
Beach scene...not quite
This curve is a curve I recognize from my work. We artists are picking up forms, lines, colors as we walk our path. Joyous walking of the path, blessings to all!

Oy, I'm overwhelmed with the richness of your blog. I, too, live for color (and line). Poking around here is just a treat for my eyes. I'll certainly be back for another visit.

Thank you, Mary Ann, for your visit...Yes, I did have a moment of inspiration and Delia's work is certainly a treat. She is such a story teller, a brilliant woman with a terrific sense of humor. This comes out so well in her work. I'm trying to instigate the next showing of this work...3 4x8 panels carved with many doors and windows in which the puppets present. Happy 2010 to you and yours!
