Just catching a moment to make a quick post here. Ezra came over to Martha's to see his grandmother. He hadn't seen her in quite a few years. I love seeing how she looks up to him and I love that he so happily wore the giant bowtie and crown. He is such fun to be with.
Mama was pleased and surprised with the attention of her family and she enjoyed the pumpkin pie, but I think she was baffled by "a birthday", what's that? she said at one point.
She knew she was surrounded by these women who love her. Does she know who we are? I am choosing to believe that she knows who I am. It is moment by moment and many of them are happy. But what a way to fade from living!
