Dream Fragments

Dream Fragments
Originally uploaded by colormuse

This painting has been coming up from blackness, gaining strength and forms....dancing forms like dream fragments. I keep learning new things about painting, color, and myself as I make these paintings.

This weekend we juggled work and pleasure, taking in the Farmer's Market, a movie called Cairo Time in the new Savoy den space, and then yesterday we traveled through beautiful foliaged Vermont up an old road, still feeling like a river trail,
to Kate and Paul's home where we celebrated their partnership, met family members, enjoyed roasted pig, music, the ever changing sky...dancing under this sky. Memory making. Good times!

I really like these last two paintings, Maggie; they are very rich and deep. And for me they tie in beautifully to an abstract/spiritual tradition in American painting.
