Valentine Phantom Strikes Again--to Hearten Montpelier

I've returned to Montpelier for Valentine's Day.  Last year one of my photos was used by Bear Pond Books for a puzzle.  Somehow last year the snow was higher and the sun more dazzling, so the photos had an edge over this year's.  But what fun to stroll through town and see all the hearts and all the wandering folks looking at the scene.  We stopped for a Raspberry Mocha at Capital Grounds and watched from our window seat.  Lovely and warm when inside.

My sister reports that Mama went to the Sweetheart party at her "village" and sang all the old songs,  danced to the piano music, and enjoyed the sweets.  She is happy in this new chapter...almost worry free.  Such a relief that Dad's farm could provide for her in these last years and she could vacation in the southwest with her light spirit and shifting remember less mind.

Tomorrow---the studio....ah ha!

Greetings Maggie,

In many respect I wish we had one day, not so much a Valentine day all year round, more like a 'heart day'. Wonder what it would take to get something like this going.

Warmest regards,
Egmont

Hearts are spreading...some leave the buildings and float in the air. One has landed on our studio and another on our front door. A touch of red to warm us in these chilly days. Hurrah!
