Tacked a large piece of paper to one wall to stretch my arms and breath---thinking of Mayako's emaki scroll work from Flickr. Hadn't really opened much paint yet. Didn't bring a bucket to carry the water...tomorrow. There is always tomorrow.
Another pressed board placemat takes on notes and begins to grow. It is all just beginning and exciting to be able to unfold in this this new space. It is warm and toasty there. I had to take off the extra sweater and I didn't even mind too much when the snowmobiles passed by just outside the window. Maybe 12 more inches of snow tomorrow--might have to walk to work.

First day in the studio! I like that it is warm in the building ...one needs to be hardy to set to work. The canvas already potential but mainly how super to have time and place stretched before you...grand art making days ahead!
