ornament press-7 Days

Raining alot of this day. I heard it was snowing in Texas....some confusion. So Pamela Polson did a bit on the ornament. It is always interesting what words make it into an article and how many are discarded. I don't have the sense of being misrepresented, but rather short changed from the story. What do you think of the interviewing process and what is chosen to sum it up?

Steaming my silks, a piece of silk dying that goes unhearlded...the the wash out....so many rinses til the water runs clear....maybe this would be harder to rationalize in the desert.....would love a comment of any sort...it is not too painful.

I thought the 7 Days article was OK -- Paula always likes to get some 'tude in there. When she wrote an article about me, her lead was that I was a "late bloomer," and I notice that she needed to mention your age too. I guess none of us can get too far away from the things that are (either consciously or unconsciously) important to us, eh? I hope you feel pleased that you got the nod for this prestigious project (even with the current resident in the White House), and any publicity is good publicity!

So, Janet, do you get my comments best from here in answer to yours or best to go to your site? Just had invitation to join a group making art from hubcaps...landfillart.com. I am intrigued and passed along your name to him...Ken as well as path to via my site. An interesting process which can happen whether it is a snow storm or not. Let me know if you hear from him.

I think you should write here on your blog when it's part of a thread from here.

Yes, I did hear from Ken Marquis about his hubcap project. Are you going to do it too?

Ken will be sending me a hubcap...in the raw as requested. We have exchanged several emails....he's been in the promotion of arts for many years...yes, I would like to see where he takes this project and I do like working on different forms and surfaces.

Stepping back and attempting to learn from this process, I see the full essence of who you are and what you accomplished expressed poorly in 7 Days. And yet the poor expression has been expressed widely and that is interesting. So the truth has gone out and will require filtering by the many to find the essence of who you are. A few of them may track their way to colormusing and from here discover an opportunity to enrich their lives and perhaps yours. Happy trails!
